Dragons

Back to Kith

Origin

The children of the gods Lasia and Kelytos, these majestic creatures are a blend of the divine elements water and fire.

Dragons are clearly apart from the rest of the children of the gods. They are majestic, almost divine. Legend has it that Kelytos and Lasia were indulgent parents, and both put some of their essence into their children.

As of Kelytos's death, no more are being created.

Reproduction

Dragons are hermaphroditic - they all lay eggs - but they are not asexual, two dragons are necessary to fertilize an egg.

Dragons only lay eggs on their birthdays, but are always able to fertilize others.

Unfortunately for the Dragons, when Kelytos was murdered by Thakanae, his death cry curdled their eggs.

Now, the only things that hatch from the Dragons are the Naga.

The Age of the Dragons has given way to the Age of the Naga.

Nature & Culture

These eternal majestic creatures, scaled and full of flame, are as hungry and greedy as the fire that dwells within them. Their caustic blood, a mix of the fire and water in their nature, consumes them from the inside. It also fuels the massive gouts of flame that the dragon can expel from its mouth.

They have wings, which allow them to fly.

Dragons have a sharp mind and a sixth sense.

Dragons can see the creations of sorcerers, and as a result are excellent and skilled wizards. Their long lives, and their perceptiveness, has made them a repository of wisdom.
