Evermoon, City of Spires

The City of Evermoon, also known as the City of Spires for the many minarets and towers that crown its walls and buildings, sits nestled in the Starlost Mountains. The city's location, in the pass between the lands of the Great River Conclave to the East and the Freebooter Strongholds to the West, puts it in a prime position to profit from the trade that passes back and forth through the mountain range.

Evermoon is also known for the Order of the Silver Crescent, the council of knights that serves as both government of the city and generals for its army. The most renowned of these knights perhaps being Faz Tarloc, for his pyrrhic victory at the Battle of Doomspire.

The population of Evermoon doubles during the annual Carnival of Ancient Light, which takes place on the longest night of the year. There is typically a great market during the day, with merchants and crafts people coming from miles around, and great revelries lasting until dawn.

Ahh, Evermoon, your beauty is second only to Autoguos. An amazing contrast to your dark, ugly history. I cannot let this entry stand without mentioning the Order of the Silver Crescent's dishonorable mistreatment of the denizens of the Starlost Mountains when they had those territories occupied. I rejoice that the humbling of the Order at Doomspire, the final battle of the war in which they lost their holdings, has encouraged them to act more honorably than they did when they had an empire. It is certainly a golden age for the realm.
